Congratulations to Niro and Sam who were married on Friday at the The Coptic Orthodox Church followed by wedding reception and dinner at the stunning Fanhams Hall in Ware.

I started the day with some lovely natural wedding photography at Fanhams Hall with Niro and the girls as they were having their hair and make up done in the fabulous bay window. I took some photographs of the wedding dress and shoes in the Chestnut room before heading down to meet Sam and some of the groomsmen for shots as they had their flowers put on and they collected their matching ties! The wedding service was in the Coptic Church in Stevenage and I used lots of documentary photography to photograph the ceremony, being careful to avoid the photographing ninja priest, and afterwards as the guests mingled and congratulated the happy couple. We headed back for photographs of the bride and groom in the gardens at Fanhams Hall, stopping to get some shots of the car at the entrance with off camera flash to create a moody atmosphere. It was a slightly cloudy day and the diffused light was gentle on the skin as we made our way through the sunken garden with Fanhams Hall as the perfectly impressive backdrop. The trees have blossomed and the Japanese garden was in full bloom and we took shots on the red bridge before heading back for group photographs, detail shots of the wedding breakfast room and guests thoroughly enjoying the reception. Evening wedding photography is always natural and documentary wedding photography as I photograph the speeches, reception, cake cutting and first dance. Here is a tiny selection of images from 12 hours of photography!
